I must be wrong, but always with a thousand obeisances to the old maestro — God bless his soul — this time I was a bit disappointed. On 13:21, Keith Emerson needed a hint in “Knife Edge” when it was time to play the little Bach’s “French Suite # 1 in D Minor BWV 812 (Allemande)” piece. Notice that he even arranges the musical score, half-kneaded, on the Hammond, before beginning the stretch. And then he tidies up the crumpled paper once more. But it’s alright. Being who he was, he’s forgiven.
